The Studio

Frank Horvat settled in Boulogne Billancourt, near Paris, France, in the 1970s. In 1986, he builds his ideal Studio, a black box with North facing windows.

The Studio houses the complete archives of Frank Horvat, which has remained in its integrity.

It also offers the visitor the discovery of his personal collection: in its original display, 30 years of exchanges with other photographers, such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Doisneau Helmut Newton, Bruce Gilden, Jane Evelyn Atwood, Josef Koudelka…

Since Frank Horvat’s passing in October 2020, his daughter, Fiammetta Horvat runs the Archives.
